Kirsten McCormack from West Calder Helps Women and Girls in Namibia
The motion
That the Parliament commends Kirsten McCormack from West Calder for her work in Namibia, as part of her Scouts of the World Award, where she taught women and girls how to make their own period products; understands that in rural Namibia many women and girls do not have access to period products and as a result many miss school; notes that the Chief Scout of Namibia now wants to roll out the project with Scouts Namibia to help women and girls manage their periods in as safer way, and believes that this is excellent work by the West Lothian woman to help women and girls.
