Surge in Volunteers Signing up Across West Lothian
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Voluntary Sector Gateway West Lothian in recruiting over 1,200 volunteers to help in its communities across West Lothian in response to the COVID-19 pandemic; understands that that Voluntary Sector Gateway West Lothian, as part of the TSI Scotland Network, is continuing to ensure that it plays a role in shaping and supporting its own communities, not only now but in the future; acknowledges the enthusiasm and commitment offered by these volunteers who are now being matched to local groups or volunteer roles; commends the efforts of Alan McCloskey, CEO at VSGWL, and wishes all those involved every success for the future.
