Volunteers in Cowdenbeath Constituency During Volunteers' Week 2020
The motion
That the Parliament recognises the incredible work of volunteers across the Cowdenbeath constituency during Volunteers' Week 2020 and throughout the year; thanks them for all of their hard work in local communities and for helping to support people to find a way through the COVID-19 pandemic; believes that the work that has been done to ensure the most vulnerable people receive help with shopping and prescription collection has been vital; acknowledges the important role played by volunteers in providing companionship to people who might be alone, especially now while people may be isolating; recognises the role played by businesses in supporting these efforts and volunteering their services; praises the work of individuals, tenant associations, community groups, charities and others in organising and supporting their communities, and thanks all volunteers for their invaluable work and contribution all year round.
