Funds Raised for Ladywell Community Fridge
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Grant MacDonald and John Young, both of More Than Fitness Gym, which is based in Livingston, on raising almost £6,000 from their Assault Air Bike 24-hour challenge to donate to Ladywell Community Fridge; understands that this vital local resource has seen an overwhelming increase in demand since the onset of COVID-19, with 500 families benefitting in one month alone; acknowledges the efforts of Grant and John who have run free online classes and bootcamps for companies in return for foodbank donations; commends their efforts in managing, unofficially, to break the world record by clocking up an impressive 399.5 miles in 24 hours, and wishes them and their fitness partner, The Wise Group, every success in their future fundraising efforts.
