£5 Million Milngavie Railway Station Improvement
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the news that Network Rail is set to start £5 million of works at Milngavie railway station to extend the platforms in an investment that will bring greater operational flexibility on the line; understands that both platforms at the station will be extended from 141 metres in length to 205 metres, and that the improvement work will also require repositioning of signalling and overhead line equipment to accommodate the new platform lengths, and supports this investment at Milngavie to improve the service on this significant route on central Scotland’s railway.
