Walks Around Stow
The motion
That the Parliament recognises the efforts of the Walks Around Stow group in preparing 10 leaflets detailing trails in Stow and the surrounding area to encourage visitors to explore and learn more about its history and landscape; notes that the first leaflet, A Heritage Walk Around Stow, is currently being printed and details the history of the village and the many historic buildings and landmarks around it; understands that those involved hope to capitalise on interest in the area from people passing through on the Borders Railway and are interested in exploring the possibility of promoting a walking corridor from Galashiels to Newtongrange through liaising with other communities in the Galawater Valley; believes that such projects represent an important part of promoting rural communities in the Borders and elsewhere, and thanks all involved for their work on this.
