Stars in Their Homes Raises over £2,000 for Marie Curie
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Grant Stanley from Loanhead and Maureen Clegg from Kinghorn on the creation of the Stars In Their Homes Lockdown Entertainment group, which has also been supported by Grant’s mum, Anne, and Maureen’s husband, Kevin; understands that the group was created to provide entertainment during the weekends throughout lockdown by giving a platform to performers, and to raise money for Marie Curie at the same time; understands that, so far, the group has raised over £2,000 for the charity; notes that the Facebook page can be found at facebook.com/groups/274446423925946/ and that line-up has included many local performers, with contributions from others across the UK and abroad; thanks all of those involved in setting up this group, and all the performers involved, who have worked to raise money for Marie Curie and to keep spirits up during this very difficult period, and wishes them all the best going forward with their fundraising.
