Motherwell Fire Station’s Nature Garden Project
The motion
That the Parliament notes the establishment of Motherwell Fire Station’s Nature Garden Project, which is home to two beehives as part of an aim to mitigate the service’s impact on the environment; recognises that firefighters in Motherwell are getting used to the fire station's new inhabitants, which the station hopes will become part of a wider pollinator network around Scotland; understands that the station has received a donation of 120 tree saplings from the Woodland Trust, and that the grounds are home to wildflowers that attract pollinators, and thanks Motherwell Fire Station and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service for their dedication to creating a more sustainable future.
