600-mile Charity Kayak for Fisherman's Mission
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Jack Gatacre, and his friend for their endeavour to kayak over 600 miles of Scotland's coast in a fortnight, which will take them past some of the country's most iconic areas; notes that it will start and finish in the fishing village of Pittenweem in Fife and pass Edinburgh, the Firth of Forth, on the Forth and Clyde, the Clyde, Arran, Jura, Mull, Fort William, the Caledonian Canal and Loch Ness before returning to the North Sea at Inverness passing Aberdeen, Dundee and St Andrews as part of a charitable effort to raise money for The Fisherman's Mission; acknowledges that this important organisation seeks to provide financial assistance and life saving support during storms, and wishes Jack and his colleague every success on their venture.
