Lodged by Alexander Burnett (Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party)
Standard Motion 27 supporters
The motion
That the Parliament commends Nicola Whyte, from Huntly, for her brave response to the tragic train derailment near Stonehaven in Aberdeenshire; understands that Nicola is a ScotRail worker who was a passenger on the train and walked for three miles to the nearest signal box to raise the alarm for help; recognises the extraordinary efforts of the emergency services who attended the scene, located in an almost inaccessible area, under difficult and dangerous circumstances, and sends its condolences to the friends and families of Brett McCullough, Donald Dinnie and Christopher Stuchbury, who lost their lives in the accident.
