Clydebank Student Aims to Help Transform Older Lives
The motion
That the Parliament commends the work of Conor Cunningham, who is a university student from Clydebank, for his work helping to lead the team behind DigiGallus, which is a new project aimed at promoting digital equality to people over the age of 50 in the Greater Glasgow area; understands that the student-run project will see a mentoring programme created where mentees will be supported with online skills; notes that the project will distribute internet-connected devices to older residents, and that the management students will provide technology training and digital literacy to the participants for free; recognises the importance of online connectivity in today’s digital world, and applauds this community spirited action by Conor and his fellow students.
