The North East is Open

That the Parliament commends the North-East Now initiative launched by Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce (AGCC) intended to promote businesses across the region that have been significantly affected by lockdown measures since March 2020; welcomes the collaboration between the Press & Journal, Evening Express, Society and Original 106FM in a Power-Week from 7 to 14 September, where all four social media accounts will retweet any company that uses the hashtag #northeastisopen, encouraging firms to boost their exposure; understands that, since its launch in June, the North-East Now campaign has pulled together a range of information, directories and blogs aimed at allowing people to find out more about local firms operating throughout the pandemic; highlights the efforts of AGCC in facilitating local people supporting local business across a wide range of industries, including retail, hospitality and wellbeing; celebrates the success of North-East Now’s previously held Power Hour, during which 60 businesses took part, and wishes all participants success in demonstrating that the "North East is Open".
