The motion
That the Parliament notes the achievements of the Open University in Scotland, having been established over 50 years ago; further notes the consistently high satisfaction ratings from students and the access to higher education offered to people who may not have traditional academic qualifications; congratulates the Open University on widening access for people from areas of multiple deprivations, with 19% of students being drawn from these areas, and applauds the work that it does to ensure that disabled people, who make up 23% of its students, are given the assistance that they require to succeed.
