Ministry of Defence Contract for Dunfermline Site
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Leonardo and BAE Systems plant in Dunfermline on being awarded part of the £317 million Ministry of Defence (MOD) contract on Typhoon jet fighter radar equipment; understands that the contract means that 100 jobs at the Dunfermline site will be supported by the order; further understands that MOD figures show that procurement spend in Scotland has risen to £1.76 billion a year, and wishes Leonardo and BAE Systems all the best for the future.
