Home Start West Lothian Celebrates 20 Years of Service
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Home Start West Lothian on celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2020; welcomes the crucial support that Home Start has provided over the years to help parents and children through troubling times; understands that, since its inception, the charity in Livingston has grown from supporting 16 families in its inaugural year in 2000 to helping over 1,200 families and nearly 3,000 children in two decades; acknowledges the efforts of the staff and volunteers who offer assistance tailored to each family and can include advice on healthy eating, bedtime routines and sleeping, Bookbug initiatives, baby massage, music and movement and arts and crafts activities; recognises that the primary aim of Home Start has been to give children the best start in life, and wishes all staff and volunteers at Home Start West Lothian every success for the future.
