Additional COVID-19 Measures by Asda
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes new additional measures by Asda in response to the upsurge in COVID-19 cases; understands that these include safety marshals stationed at the front of every store and in the aisles of larger stores to help customers adhere to guidance, stocking disposable face coverings for anyone who has forgotten one, splitting entry and exit points and additional sanitisation measures, including applying a protective coating to all basket and trolley handles, creating an antimicrobial surface that prevents the spread of bacteria and viruses; notes that Asda has also committed to continuing to give priority delivery slots to extremely vulnerable customers throughout the winter, and thanks all Asda staff, and their counterparts at other shops, for their invaluable work in ensuring that everyone is supplied with what they need through the pandemic.
