Livingston Cyclist Sets New World Record
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Josh Quigley, from Livingston, who has set the new cycling record for the fastest time to complete the North Coast 500; understands that he completed this in a time of 31 hours and 19 minutes, which is four minutes faster than the previous record; acknowledges the challenges that Josh has faced since his life saving treatment and rehabilitation following a crash in Texas, USA in 2019; commends his efforts and those of his sponsor, Sterosport Activ by Steroplast, manufacturers of bike first aid kits, for raising money for the Medical Centre in Texas following his serious injuries, and wishes Josh every success for the future.
