Team Jak Foundation Marks Jak's 21st Birthday Online
The motion
That the Parliament commends the efforts of all volunteers at Jak's Den, Livingston, who came together online to celebrate the late Jak Trueman's 21st birthday celebrations in September 2020; understands that the celebration coincided with an events ceremony for some of the volunteers and a celebration of a very successful fundraising event by volunteers at the Virtual Kiltwalk Weekend, with almost 80 participants raising around £42,000; welcomes the fantastic choice of online activities on offer to families in need during this difficult pandemic; recognises the practical, social and emotional support provided by Team Jak to children and young people with cancer as well as their families, friends and those bereaved, and wishes everyone involved with the charity every success for future fundraising activities.
