Connect Alloa Receives Award
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Connect Alloa’s Connect Youth Team on receiving the Clackmannanshire Third Sector Interface (CTSI) Embracing Inclusion Award for 2020; notes that this new award category for 2020 aims to spotlight teams who have been active in embedding inclusive practices within their organisation, ensuring that anyone who wants to be involved is able to; understands that the group, which meets at St Mungo’s Parish Church in Alloa, aims to provide a safe environment for young people and young adults with a focus on reducing social isolation; acknowledges that Connect Alloa’s Youth Team were described by CTSI as going above and beyond to ensure that young people interested in joining Connect Alloa feel welcome; considers that the Connect Youth Team exemplify inclusion by being non-judgemental, caring and supportive of not only each other but any young person who joins their youth group, and commends everyone at the group for their sterling work for the benefit and wellbeing of others.
