Clydebank Student Awarded the Carnegie Vacation Scholarship
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Jack McKinlay, who is a Clydebank-based fourth year Psychology student at the University of the West of Scotland, on being awarded the Carnegie Vacation Scholarship; understands that the Scholarship is awarded to students from qualifying higher education institutions who want to undertake a programme of independent research during the holiday period and which will be of direct benefit to their studies; acknowledges that Jack's research project examined the parental beliefs on the inclusion of children with autism spectrum disorders in mainstream schools, and that he hopes that his findings can identify areas of intervention needed to help support parents’ understanding of inclusive education; commends him for his hard work, and wishes him all the best for the future.
