Scottish Dance Teachers Alliance
The motion
That the Parliament notes the incredible contribution of the Scottish Dance Teachers Alliance (SDTA), which is based in the Glasgow Kelvin constituency; understands that STDA has been providing first class training and support for dancers and dance teachers worldwide since 1934; notes that the COVID-19 pandemic has had a profound effect on, and participation in, dance-led classes and events due to the restrictions; understands that these restrictions are necessary to suppress the spread of virus; acknowledges the positive contribution that dance teachers and classes have in supporting physical and mental wellbeing, from young children participating in ballet lessons to older people attending tea dances, and expresses its thanks to the SDTA and dance teachers across the country in delivering an enjoyable and sociable experience.
