World Habitat Day
The motion
That the Parliament recognises 5 October as World Habitat Day 2020, which seeks to reflect on the state of towns and cities and the basic right of all to adequate shelter, while also reminding the world of its collective responsibility for the future of the human habitat; acknowledges that this year’s theme is Housing For All — A Better Urban Future, and endorses the work of the UN in seeking to further the cause of proper housing for all.
