Bethany Christian Trust Receives £100K Donation from Barclays Community Relief Programme
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Bethany Christian Trust on receiving a £100,000 donation from the Barclays 100x100 UK COVID-19 Community Relief Programme; understands that the charity, which supports almost 7,000 people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in Scotland each year, will use the donation to help provide 3,000 households throughout the country with 12,000 emergency supply packs of food, toiletries and cleaning products, and welcomes that a critical check-in will be conducted with pack recipients at the point of distribution to provide them with information about support that will help them tackle loneliness, poor mental health and addiction issues.
