Celebrating United Nations Day, 75th Anniversary
The motion
That the Parliament recognises 24 October 2020 as United Nations Day; acknowledges the work of the UN in fostering peace, prosperity and cooperation between member states; recognises the diligent work of UN agencies throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, including the World Health Organization; congratulates the UN on the 75th anniversary of the passing of its founding Charter, and supports its continued aspirations, promoting international peace and security, sustainable development, the delivery of humanitarian aid, and the protection of human rights.
