National Lottery Funding in Falkirk East Constituency
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes funding from the National Lottery Community Fund for organisations in the Falkirk East constituency; understands that £10,000 has been awarded to Shieldhill Primary School allowing it to purchase and install outdoor play equipment in the school grounds, while £2,000 has been given to the Young Portonian Theatre Company in Grangemouth to purchase new lighting, sound and costume equipment; recognises that funding for groups such as these provide much-needed community facilities for the benefit of young people in particular, where it considers that investment has sometimes been difficult to source previously; understands the impact that the COVID-19 pandemic has had on the health and wellbeing of many people throughout communities, and that the need to work together and keep each other safe in these times is paramount in overcoming these challenges in the fight to get back to normality; congratulates both projects on being successful in their applications to the National Lottery, and looks forward to hearing more about their successes in the coming months.
