The motion
That the Parliament welcomes Occupational Therapy Week 2020, which takes place between 2 and 8 November; notes that the theme of this year’s campaign is to inspire people from all backgrounds to consider occupational therapy as a career; recognises there are over 3,500 occupational therapists in Scotland working in a variety of settings to provide practical support to people with physical and mental health difficulties, long-term conditions and those experiencing the effects of aging, and commends the work of occupational therapists across Scotland as they provide early intervention solutions, particularly to support the recovery from COVID-19 and empower people to manage their own conditions and regain the skills they need to get on living a fulfilled life.
