Adoption Week Scotland 2020
The motion
That the Parliament notes that Adoption Week Scotland will take place between 16 and 20 November 2020; understands that Adoption Week is an opportunity to both celebrate adoptive families in Scotland and raise awareness about the reality of adoption in the wider community, and also to provide prospective adopters with information about how to help children waiting for families, and notes that, as well as providing information about the process of adoption, this year’s events will highlight the importance of sibling relationships, therapeutic parenting and understanding fetal alcohol spectrum disorder and the impact of prenatal alcohol exposure.
