Councillors Eating for £1 Per Day for Charity
The motion
That the Parliament notes the efforts of Councillors Rosemary Liewald and Lea McLelland to raise money for Benarty Foodbank; notes that they are feeding themselves for £1 per day for a week and are seeking sponsorship for this; understands that they also wish to raise awareness of the difficulty of feeding a family on a low wage; notes that, to date, they have raised over £600, and wishes them well in their continuing fundraising efforts for a very worthwhile cause.
