Milngavie Jazz Club Founder Wins Lifetime Achievement Jazz Award
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Ken Mathieson on his Lifetime Achievement Award, which he received at the Scottish Jazz Awards 2020; understands that the award was presented at the virtual awards ceremony and that Ken was selected by a panel of industry specialists from across the UK; commends Ken's hard work as the co-founder of the Black Bull Jazz Club and then running the first Glasgow International Jazz Festival back in 1987, and recognises his contribution to the Scottish jazz music scene throughout his life.
