World Economic Forum Invites Falkirk Start-up Firm, Obashi, to join the WEF’s Global Innovators Community

That the Parliament congratulates the Falkirk-based start-up firm, Obashi, on being invited by the World Economic Forum (WEF) to join its Global Innovators Community; understands that Obashi is the first Scottish company to be invited to join; notes that the Global Innovators Community is a group of the world’s most promising start-ups and scale-ups that are at the forefront of technological and business model innovation; further notes that Obashi helps people see data flow by creating a flexible dataflow governance model that allows governments, businesses and other organisations to understand and unlock their dataflow potential, enabling users to see how data flows through the people in their organisations, processes, and technology; understands that, as part of the Global Innovators Community, Obashi will proactively engage to help define the global agenda on key issues, with a particular focus on shaping the future of technology governance, artificial intelligence and machine learning; acknowledges that the WEF recognises that understanding dataflow is fundamental to shaping and advancing the Fourth Industrial Revolution; recognises that The Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution is a WEF hub for global, multi-stakeholder cooperation to develop policy frameworks and advance collaborations that accelerate the benefits of science and technology, and wishes Obashi continued success with this and its future ventures in the years to come.
