Ageing Well Midlothian Awarded Walking Group of the Year
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Ageing Well Midlothian on being awarded Walking Group of the Year at the Paths for All Volunteer Awards; understands that Ageing Well is a service that encourages people over 50 to increase their physical activity levels; recognises the achievement of the 48 volunteers who support over 650 participants in different weekly groups; thanks Ageing Well Midlothian for the vital role it has played in supporting members of the community throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, delivering essential goods and leading individual and group walks; joins Ageing Well Midlothian in celebrating its 20th anniversary; thanks members for the important role that they play in the community, and wishes Ageing Well Midlothian all the best going forward with its work supporting older people in the community.
