Samaritans' Services During Christmas and New Year
The motion
That the Parliament expresses its concern that, after an exceptionally challenging 2020, the Christmas and New Year period, will be a difficult and isolating time for many people in Scotland; understands that the Samaritans' phone line will continue to be open 24/7 and free to use over this time for anyone going through difficulties; notes that Samaritans can be contacted by phone on 116 123 and by email, and that its website, samaritans.org, contains helpful information regarding how people can look after themselves or support others, and expresses its sincere thanks to its volunteers on being there to listen to anyone feeling alone or struggling over Christmas and New Year.
