Motion · S5M-23596 · 3 Dec 2020
Regulate Dog Walkers
The motion
That this Parliament notes that, over the years, there has been an increasing number of dog walking businesses; understands that, over the many months of the COVID-19 pandemic, many more have become dog owners and that, with the return to work, there will most probably be an uptake in the requirements for dog walking services; notes that there are no specific regulations for those operating such businesses, nor is a licence required, and believes therefore that the administration should consider introducing regulations and a licensing scheme for dog walking services in the next parliamentary session.
