Massive Type 31 Frigate Building Hall Unveiled at Rosyth
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Babcock Rosyth on the unveiling of a huge £31.5 million building hall that will accommodate the Type 31 Royal Navy Frigates; considers that the Type 31 will be the beating heart of the Royal Navy’s fleet; notes that the building hall, created by Robertson Construction, is 147 metres long and 30 metres in height, and will be capable of accommodating two vessels being assembled at the same time, sitting side by side; acknowledges that the contract for the building hall maintained 100 jobs at Robertson and supported a further 100 in the company’s supply chain, and wishes Babcock Rosyth all the best for the future.
