EDVA Befriending Programme
The motion
That the Parliament acknowledges the hard work of the East Dunbartonshire Voluntary Action (EDVA) organisation and its volunteers in taking part in the befriending programme; recognises that the scheme offers an invaluable service within communities, and that its work has made a signification impact on reducing loneliness and tackling social isolation during this challenging time; commends the befrienders who have helped make a difference by encouraging, listening and supporting individuals throughout communities; recognises their efforts and the hard work that has been put in over the last year, and wishes them success for the years to come.
