Well Done, Duncan
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Duncan McGill from Melrose on raising £946 for the Trussell Trust by taking part in a solo endurance challenge of a series of 12 individual 12k runs throughout December 2020 to Langlee, Galashiels and back; understands that Duncan did this in recognition of the financial challenges that many families face over winter, particularly in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, and aimed to raise money to help alleviate these problems and raise awareness of the issue of food poverty and insecurity; acknowledges that this fundraising challenge would have been a particularly gruelling task in the December weather, and congratulates Duncan on his efforts and his successful completion of the challenge.
