Welcoming the Inauguration of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the inauguration of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris as the President and Vice President of the United States; praises their work to assemble what it sees as a diverse White House and Cabinet that will represent America; welcomes the Biden-Harris administration’s plans to re-engage with the World Health Organization, which it considers will be vital in helping to advance global health, and welcomes the future opportunities that it considers Scotland and the United States will have to work together, including to address the global climate emergency, maintain and grow their strong trading relationship, and to promote shared values.
