WDCVS Campaign to #WalkBackBetter
The motion
That the Parliament acknowledges West Dunbartonshire Community & Volunteering Services' (WDCVS) work to encourage people in West Dunbartonshire to get active and get outdoors in 2021 by supporting the national #WalkBackBetter Campaign; recognises WDCVS’s efforts to bring awareness to the benefits of walking on both an individual’s physical and mental health, as well as the many other benefits of keeping active, and how it helps people become involved with their local community; notes that it is working with Paths For All, a national walking charity which runs free walking projects in every local authority area in Scotland, to encourage more people to get active, and wishes WDCVS staff and volunteers well with the campaign and future projects to benefit the communities of West Dunbartonshire.
