City of Edinburgh Gymnastics Club Receives Funding
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the City of Edinburgh Gymnastics Club on being awarded £100,000 from sportscotland’s Sport Facilities Fund; understands that the funding will contribute towards a project with a total value of £333,405, which will see the conversion of an industrial building into a dedicated gymnastics facility; notes that the club currently provides gymnastics training across various venues and that the project will allow it to bring the majority of its activity into one venue and expand upon its existing activity; acknowledges that this is a strong, well-connected club that operates a full pathway, providing opportunities for younger gymnasts to progress, supported by a number of dedicated coaches and parent volunteers, and wishes the club continued success.
