Motion · S5M-24076 · 4 Feb 2021
West Lothian Council and Endo Warriors West Lothian Raise Endometriosis Awareness
The motion
That the Parliament commends the collaboration between West Lothian Council and Endo Warriors West Lothian to recognise Endometriosis Awareness Month; understands that, although it is the second most common gynaecological condition in the UK, there is currently no cure and that it takes an average of eight years for a woman to be diagnosed; notes that, in 2020, the Council participated in the campaign, Light Up Yellow, by lighting the lanterns on the roof of the Civic Centre, and that West Lothian Leisure has pledged its support for the 2021 campaign, and believes that this is an excellent initiative to raise awareness of endometriosis.
