McTaggart Group to Deliver up to 55 Positions for Young People
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes that the Dalry-based company, McTaggart Group, has been announced as one of the first Scottish construction companies to sign up to the Kickstart Scheme; understands that the homebuilder, which mainly builds affordable and sustainable homes for housing associations and local authorities, will deliver up to 55 positions for young people across North Ayrshire and beyond; believes that this will deliver high-quality, six-month work placements aimed at those aged 16 to 24 who are receiving Universal Credit and are considered to be at risk of long-term unemployment; recognises that opportunities will be advertised via Jobcentre Plus and that the young people who secure a place in the scheme will receive a personal development plan, on-site experience and mentoring from their team, and wishes everyone involved every future success.
