The motion

That the Parliament commends the kind-hearted efforts of the Clydebank resident, Josie Torrance, to support the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) appeal for local communities to pick up their knitting needles and crotchet hooks again to support the From the Heart campaign; understands that NHSGGC staff appealed for small, knitted hearts, which were offered to families, with the matching heart remaining with their family member in hospital, in the hope that it would allow families to feel more connected to each other; notes that Josie took it one step further by attaching heartfelt poems, which she wrote herself, to let patients and their families know they were loved; acknowledges Josie and the many others who have contributed to this appeal to ensure that patients, residents and their loved ones still feel connected, and thanks Josie and the other contributors for their selfless acts of kindness towards others during these difficult times.
