1st Bearsden Rainbow Unit, Staying Connected During Lockdown
The motion
That the Parliament commends the members of the 1st Bearsden Rainbow Unit for their commitment to deliver new and innovative ways to continue to keep connected and empower girls and young women in East Dunbartonshire; notes that groups such as the Bearsden Unit have continued to stay connected through weekly Zoom and Facebook meetings and outdoor activities, with up to 20 girls regularly taking part; acknowledges the hard work and dedication of the volunteer leaders who have been facilitating the groups through this challenging time; understands that Girl Guiding is looking to expand and to recruit more members and volunteers throughout East Dunbartonshire, and wishes it well with its current and future adventures and endeavours.
