Rachel Kennedy and her Family and Friends Raise Funds for Cervical Cancer Awareness
The motion
That the Parliament commends the fundraising efforts of Rachel Kennedy, her mum Eleanor, sister Jenny, and all their friends and family; understands that, following Rachel being diagnosed with cervical cancer in November 2020, they completed a 50-mile sponsored run to raise awareness of the condition and stress the importance of smear tests; notes that they have raised over £7,500 so far for Maggie’s Cancer Centre in gratitude for the invaluable support that it has provided for them, and believes that this is an excellent initiative to raise awareness of cervical cancer and money for an excellent cause.
