Tesco Staff at Livingston Supported by USDAW
The motion
That the Parliament notes reports that the trade union, USDAW, was granted an interim interdict in the Court of Session in Edinburgh against Tesco regarding contracts for some of its staff at the Livingston distribution centre; acknowledges the reported comments by USDAW that the new contracts would have seen some workers lose between £4,000 and £19,000 per year, and notes the reported statement by the trade union that it is “ready to seek a permanent interdict for Livingston and a High Court injunction for the other sites”.
