The motion

That the Parliament recognises Milngavie resident, Andrew Taylor, for founding Velo-City which is a sustainable, e-cargo bike local delivery and returns service in East Dunbartonshire; understands that Andrew’s belief in the positivity and possibilities of cycling coupled with his desire to take action in the fight against the climate crisis led to the creation of Velo-City Deliveries, a non-polluting, low impact way to get products to customers in a sustainable fashion that helps the community achieve a lower carbon footprint; notes that Andrew has a long term goal to set up a last mile delivery hub which would take products from national delivery companies to customers over the 'last mile' via e-cargo bikes, which can reduce pollution and traffic in the community, freeing up the streets for more sustainable and active forms of transport; commends Andrew for his brilliant initiative, and wishes him and his business all the best for the future.
