Milngavie Pupils Host Online Event for Fairtrade Fortnight
The motion
That the Parliament commends Douglas Academy school pupils for their efforts to raise awareness about climate justice; welcomes their online event, on 5 March 2021, as part of Fairtrade Fortnight; understands that the event has been organised and will be hosted by the students, in conjunction with the Gavin’s Mill fair trade shop in Milngavie, to raise awareness of the challenges faced by farmers in the Global South and to highlight the support they need at this critical time; recognises the pupils' hard work and commitment on this topic, and wishes them every success with the event.
