Young Carers Action Day 2021
The motion
That the Parliament supports Young Carers Action Day 2021, which is to be led by the Carers Trust and takes place on 16 March to raise awareness of young carers and the incredible contribution that they make to their families and communities; understands that there are an estimated 29,000 young carers in Scotland; commends the invaluable contribution that they make to society; notes that the action day aims to raise awareness of young carers and the issues that are important to them; acknowledges the theme is Protecting Young Carers' Futures and will highlight the incredible skills that these young people develop through their caring roles, and wishes the Carers Trust every success with the action day and its work.
