Superhero Book Release: Mission Dyslexia
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Julie and Paul McNeill on the imminent release of their book, Mission Dyslexia: Find Your Superpower and be Your Brilliant Self; praises their passion, and that of the co-author and illustrator, Rossie Stone, of Lenzie-based Dekko Comics; notes that this resource aims to provide valuable support for families with a dyslexic child; commends the colourful, fun format which enables shared discussion, supports self-understanding and increases self-esteem; applauds the use of three superhero characters to represent how strengths can help to tackle tasks and raise confidence levels in the book's readers; pays tribute to the team's commitment to bringing this project to completion and having an impact through this publication, and wishes the authors every success in securing widespread popularity of this highly accessible book in paperback and digital formats.
