DNR Orders
The motion
That the Parliament notes Age Scotland's concerns regarding the use of do not resuscitate (DNR) orders during the COVID-19 pandemic and the charity's calls for an investigation into this; believes that everyone, including older people, must have their wishes respected and their rights protected; recognises that older people and their families might need reassurance that they will receive compassionate care when needed, and acknowledges that the Chief Executive of the charity, Brian Sloan, has written to Health Improvement Scotland to request an investigation to hopefully provide vital reassurance.
